I finished all the class on 9th, April, and I just have only one final

text which will be held on 23rd, April. That means I have exactly

two weeks for preparing my final text. Of course, I need to relax

before the final text. So what can I do? Just go to the casino~

Actually, I like gambling from my childhood to now. I like the

feeling and excitement when I take gamble, but I'm not on the

gamble, definitely not !! I go to the casino just for relaxing. Each

time I go to the casino, the first thing I have to do is to try my luck

at roulette. If I get the first hit, I will stay at the table, conversely,

I'll take a break.

My favourite game is Blackjack, in my opinion, it is the most

technical game in the casino. I started to play this game last year,

it is really a very exciting game, and the most challenging game I

have ever played. I love this game~

11 days left !!!

I 'll come back to China in 11 days. And then I 'll spend my summer
vacation in my hometown, Guangzhou. I have been so exciting!! I
miss all the things about Guangzhou, my girlfriend, my family, my
buddies, shopping, and so on......By the way, I miss my mother and
my aunty's food very much, which is very tasteful.

I have already made a plan for my long vacation. First of all, I have
to have my hair cut, because my hair is too thick to comb. And then
I will have at least 3 strings of beef ball for my 1st breakfast, which
is kind of the most famous and delicious snacks in Guangzhou. After
that, I have to pay a visit and congratulate to my sister, who married
in March and moved to a new house. Actually, I haven't seen her for a
very long time, she must be much more beautiful than before.

Nowadays, it is very important to learn foreign languages, especially
learning English. In fact, English is the most important language in
the world, it is widly used in many fields, for business, for comnication,
even for your daily life. There are countless advantages for learning
English. We can make foreigner friends easily, and then we are able to
work in many countries, moreover, if you want to marry with a foreigner,
English is necessary.

In conclusion, to be a multilingual, even a bilingual, you will become a

I've heard of the story

"Sleeping Beauty" many

times during I grew up

to now. Actually I don't

know what this story

about, so I decided to

read this story last night.

It is definitely a very

nice and fantastic story,

and it is very attractive

to me. In my opinion, it's

better to regard it as a

legend than a story, can

you imagine how

wonderful this legend is?

I'll show you evidence.

Once upon a time, there

were a king and a queen,

and they had a child. On the christening day, 12 fairies gave their best

wishes to her, the child of the king and the queen. Unfortunately, the

13th fairy was very angry because she didn't receive a invitation from
the king, so she gave a curse to the princess. The 13th fairy predicted

that on the princess' 16th birthday, she would prick her finger on a

spinning wheal and died. After the 13th fairy disappeared, the 12th fairy

stepped forward and changed the curse to that the princess would fall

into a sleep which would last one hundred years.

Over the years, on the princess' 16th birthday party, the curse
really came true...... not only the princess, but also the entire palace
fell asleep. Hundred years later, there was a prince who was from
another kingdom, heard of this legend. Therefore, the prince went
to the princess' kingdom. Finally, the prince saved the princess, and
the entire palace~

It's a very wonderful story, isn't it?

Fullmetal Alchemist !! Which is my favourite cartoon !! I can't explain
how I love this cartoon. This cartoon is about the 2 brothers Edward
and Alphonse's adventure. At the beginning of this story, Edward and
Alphonse lived in a small rural village. And their father, which is a gifted
alchemist, left home when Edward was very young and Alphonse was
still an infant. Years later, their mother, Trisha Elric, died of a serious
illness. After that, Edward and Alphonse attempted to revive their
mother by alchemy. However, this attempt failed, as a result, Edward
lost his right arm and left leg, moreover, Alphonse lost his whole body...
After that, they started their adventure, in order to fing a mysterious
stone, which can help them to get their original bodies back.
During their adventure, they learnt many knowledge, and finnally they
found out the truth of alchemy, which was very amazing !!

This semester is going to be

finished soon . After that , I

to France. France is a

very romantic place. It is

famous of its rural scenery

and tourist attractions.

There are very many

tourist attractions I want

to visit, Eiffel Tower,

Louvre, Triumphal Arch,

the Seine River...and so on.

In addtion, France is a

kingdom of food. French

food attracts many people

from all over the world,

and I like it very much, but actually it is a little expensive. France

is also a fashionable country, so that I can enjoy shopping.

wow~fantastic!! France is definitely a wonderful nation !! I extremely

disire a trip to France~so what I can do now is to pass all the ESAL

courses, and then get a work permit, and earn enough money to afford

a trip to France !! Fighting !!

To have an own house is my dream , and I would like to design my
house by myself . First of all , my house must be located by the sea ,
and then I can enjoy the sea view and go swimming every morning .
And my house will have two floors , of course , living room , bathroom ,
kitchen and dining room are included in it . After that , everything in
my house must be white , because I like this comfortable color . There
must be one room , a special room for my dogs , because I like dogs so
much . It's very exciting that I can walk my dogs on the beach everyday .
Finally , the kitchen must be large , and then I can cook with my
girlfriend . It's perfect !!
When special day comes , I will hold a party on the beach , and the shoes
are all unnecessary , we can use our feet to feel the sand , wow~
Fantastic !!
To sum up , I have to name my house "Full House" , it means full of love
and happy .

I received a very special gift from my girlfriend on my last birthday .
It was a shawl , which is knitted by my girlfriend , and it was her first
time to knit things . It is very important to me . My girlfriend is a very
caring girl . She knew that I used to feel cold here , so she thought of an
idea to make me warmer , and then she knitted a shawl to me . Of
course , it is very warm and comfortable , I love it very much . It was a
very special and important gift I have received since I came here , and it
was a big surprise to me on my last birthday . Although we have a long
distance , I feel she is very close to me .

Watching English program is a fast way to learn English .
And I'm trying it now~
"X.O.X.O Gossip Girl" , which comes from the TV program . "X.O.X.O" means hugs and kisses . This drama is very fashionable and popular which uses "blog" and "SMS" as the core . However , it does not let audience feel fictitious and stiff . From this drama , I find it friendship is very strong , it can solve any problems , like the two characters Serena and Blair . In one word , it's suitable for teens and very worth to watch .

I believe that everyone

knows sushi , the very

famous and popular

Japanese food . For me ,

sushi is the most delicious

food of the world , it is

miracle !! There are two

main types of sushi , do

you know that ? Nigiri-

zushi , it is made of

vinegar rice which is

formed into oval shape ,

and then topped with

various raw and cooked

seafood , and maki-zushi

which is made of vinegar

rice combined with

seafood and vegetables

then wrapped in an

seaweed and sliced into rounds . Nigiri-zushi is quite difficult to make at

home and I tend to eat this type of sushi at Japanese restaurants and

sushi bars . on the other hand , maki-zushi is far easier to prepare in

your own kitchen and tastes pretty good ! By the way , this sushi recipe

requires a sushi mat for rolling .

This colorful and delicate food contains low calorie , low fat , and is also

very fresh . It is one of the most healthy and the most nutritious food .

In addition , it has quite wide palate because it is made of various of

lake fish , sea fish , shellfish and vegetables , you will feel it tasted

endless , I think the only limit is probably your imagination .

I have been to Kamloops for almost half a year , but my English
is still very poor ... speaking , listening , vocabulary ... I don't know
what should I do now... I seem to be lost in learning English ... I
miss my way , my courage , my fervor to study English ...

However , I wanna be passionate . To be honest , I love English
so much , I want to speak it well , listen it well and write it well ...
but I have no way to let this dream come true ...

Vancouver . While everyone
saw it , the first thing to do
was taking a picture of this

were not sharp any more ~
The car was surrounded
by some toys & some fancy
stuff I had never seen
before . In my opinion , it
may be a shop which sells
fancy stuff . Anyway , there
was nobody in it , so the
only thing I can do was just
taking a picture of it & kept
as a souvenir .

Last night , I had a very nice party which was holden by Jason , my Oral
instructor. He's a very funny & nice person , & his family members are
also very nice , even "Mas" , Jason' s dog ^.^
In one word , it is a very fantastic International party !! Especially the
food , there were many kinds of food all around the house . And then
Jason's wife taught us how to make Sushi , of course , I made it , too~
Although they do not look very well , it is very delicious ~ After the dinner,
we also had cakes , ice-cream & chocolates as dessert .

Two Countries, Two Ways of Life !!

Do you know how many differences between Canada and China?
The answer is countless. I believe that even different parts of one
country, there are many differences between them. As a
international student, I live in two different countries, I have thrown
over the lifestyle I’ve been used to in my parents’ home, and go my
own way. In other words, I have to get used to two different weather,
cultures, and lifestyle.

The weather in Canada and China has very big difference. In my
opinion, I think the most troublesome thing in Canada is just the
weather which is too cold and dry. So the down coat is necessary
for everyone. Because of the dry weather, each time I finish my
bath, the first thing I have to do is that rubbing some lotion on my
skin. In addition, the gale here really makes me crazy, it has tangled
my hair for many times. On the contrary, the weather in China is
very warm and wet. Even though it usually rains, this weather is
more suitable for me.

Every country has its own culture, especially Canada and China.
They are both large countries, moreover, Canada is a western country,
and then China is an eastern country. There is the entire Pacific Ocean
between these two nations. And therefore, the Canadian culture is
quite different from the Chinese. I’m going to talk about 3 points.
First, people in Canada are very nice, wheneverI need help there is
always someone who will lend me a hand. And they are also very polite,
even they do not know me, they would nod to me when they greet me.
However, people in China are not active. For example, when I am in
trouble, others would not help me forwardly unless I ask them for help.
So I think Canadians are nicer than Chinese, and they make me feel at
home. Second, Canadians always call each other’s name directly, even
the other side is elder. But in China, even though people who is only
1 year older than me, I have to call him older brother XX . The name
in Chinese culture is very important. Third, it’s very natural that people
dress up at some special festival in Canada. On the contrary,Chinese
people would think that behavior is ridiculous, even at Halloween.

Lifestyle, I think it is the closest thing for everyone. In my opinion,
different culture has a different way of life. Perhaps thepopulation
of Canada is not large, it cause the density of population in each city
is also not high. So the rhythm of life is comfortable. Opposite, in China,
especially in HongKong, everyone has pressure, the rhythm of life is
very fast. In one word, everyone is busy at every moment.

In conclusion, every country has its advantages and disadvantages.
Each person has his own thought toward life. For me, I still likemy
motherland best. China is the place where I born, it is just like my
mother.

The reading break , which is expected by the entire campus is coming .
For a ESL student , like me , this break runs to 10 days~ It's a very
long vacation !! Because of that , everyone must has hundreds of plans ,

What i most want to do is to have a trip to Vancouver & Edmonton . Cuz
i have buddies in that 2 places~ We haven't seen each order for about 1
year~ Of course , i miss them so much..
However , as a student , the most important thing is to finnish all my
homework !! So what i wanna do now is to make through with the essaies ,
the sheets , the recordings ......and so on~ Cuz i don't want to bring my
homework to my trip~

system in my country & here at TRU.

First of all ,

my course schedule~

In china ,

we have classes from Mon to Fri ,

everyday is full of trouble~

every student has pressure in this situation.

But in TRU ,

i just have 3 courses this semester ,

it means i just have 6 classes every week.

Fantasic !!

i have weekly 3-day break~

Moreover ,

the numer of students in one class

is just between 15~20..

In china ,

there are usually almost 70 students

in one class.

but i think small class is better ,

cuz the instructor can take care of every student.

To sum up ,

I prefer the school system here ,

Its suitable for me ~
